關於學校
學校及社區
倫敦哈勞中文學校於一九七九年創辦，其後於一九八九年註冊成為一間慈善機構，由家長委員會運作。
班別
學生年齡由四歲至十八歲, 班別由唱遊班至GCSE班共十一班;
因應需求及執教老師對有意應考學生的評估，也會考慮開設A-Level 班，歡迎查詢。倫敦哈勞中文學校可以協助達到要求水平的學生在英國申請報考GCSE中文現代外語科的文憑考試。
教學大綱/課程
我們以英國國家現代外語中文科(MFL)的大綱和英國考試局所定的 “聽、説、讀、寫” 課程來教授。學校選用英國中文學校聯會(UKFCS)出版的粵語(廣東話) 和繁體(正體)字書本及其它有關題目的習作紙作為教材。
校址
本校於2022年1月開始正式遷入剛完成大規模裝修工程的 Pinner High School，開展長遠的合作關係。
Pinner High School 校舍設備完善新頴，除了租用課室之外，亦有提供室內運動場、舞蹈室、禮堂等場地，以及大飯堂空間作休憩之用，為學校家長親友、學生、導師、義工等，提供一個社區空間。
活動
本校活躍於多方平台，對外，學生經常參加英國中文學校聯會及英國中文教育促進會所舉辦的文化活動及比賽，屢獲佳績，例如中華知識比賽、齊魯文化學習、「邯鄲杯」中國成語典故學習、書法比賽、中文作文比賽、故事演講比賽、賀年咭及聖誕咭設計比賽等。
對內，學校一年一度的農曆新年慶祝活動日、夏季全校旅行日，均為全校熱烈參與的大型活動。
興趣班、興趣小組
倫敦哈勞中國舞班是本校最悠久的興趣班，約於2000年開辦。除本校學生外，亦會錄取校外學生。十多年來在資深導師謝潔玉老師帶領下，在英國各地參加無數表演及比賽，在英國頗負盛名。請點擊中國舞班網頁瀏覽。
羽毛球小組由多名志同道合的家長組成，租用校內的體育館，每週互相切磋。
同時學校亦積極籌備各項興趣班，例如成人廣東話會話班、國畫班等。
社區
善用Pinner High School 提供的廣濶空間，每星期六下午，校內的大飯堂亦成為一個廣東話小社區。除了學生家長自組的各種興趣小組之外，學校亦會留意並協助推行各種活動、課程、研討小組等，歡迎有興趣人仕加入。
About Us
School and Community
Harrow Chinese School was founded in 1979, and was registered as a charity in 1989. The school is governed by Harrow Chinese School Committee.
Classes
Students aged from 4 to 18, there are 11 classes starting from Playgroup to GCSE.
We can also provide A-Level class, depending on request and assessment of the students. Please contact us to enquire. Harrow Chinese School can assist students who have attained the required level to apply for GCSE Chinese Modern Foreign Language entry of examinations in the UK.
Syllabus/curriculum
Our teachings follow the syllabus from GCSE (Modern Foreign Languages) Chinese subject focusing on: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing. Teaching materials include UKFCS publications and other resources in Traditional Chinese Writing and spoken Cantonese.
Classrooms
From January 2022, HCS will be running classes from Pinner High School where the school site has just completed a major refurbishment. The beautiful school ground comes with many features. Besides its classrooms, Pinner High School also provides sports halls, dance studios, assembly hall and a food hall for HCS and its community.
Activities
HCS is very active in many platforms. Our students are regularly involved with competitions and activities provided by UKFCS and UKAPCE. We also held annual school picnic, and Lunar New Year Celebrations amongst other events.
Extracurricular Activities
Our activity classes are not just for our students but also open for parents and public alike. Harrow Chinese School Dance Class has been our longest running pride and joy. Please click "Chinese Dance" on the menu to read their full story.
There are also other groups such as parents badminton group, and HCS is always on the look out for various classes such as Cantonese Speaking Lesson for adults and Chinese Painting classes are under development.
Community
Benefiting from the vast space at Pinner High School, our community thrives. We welcome anyone interested to join our Cantonese speaking community every Saturday afternoon during term time.
